A Bit About Me
Born and raised in a small town in North Carolina, I grew up with dreams of traveling the world and connecting with people from various cultures. After receiving my bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education from my HBCU, Winston Salem State University, I started my career as an English teacher in Dallas, Texas. While teaching at W.W. Samuell High School, I began studying for my master's degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University which I received in 2019. After working in Dallas, I accepted an opportunity to teach English in Abu Dhabi at Applied Technology High School. I later transitioned out of secondary education and began teaching at Fatima College of Health Sciences' Ajman campus. For the last seven years, my passion for learning has led me to enriching, global teaching experiences that have developed a myriad of transferrable skills that can be applied across industries. I will treasure my memories working in the classroom for a lifetime; however, I am currently looking to pursue other professional opportunities that will stimulate my growth and align with my core values of equity, creativity, and community. My aim is to obtain a position in which my leadership, instructional design, and people development skills will be utilized to support the advancement of communities around the world.
